Even though the end result was horrible, I can't help but think that Microsoft's Tay, ironically, also was an impressive demonstration of the self-learning capabilities of AI. Yes, Tay turned into a racist monster, but the program did so through obervation of its network and in less than 24 hours. Alas, I think Tay's resulting horribility reflects us humans as well.
